How to add your POP/IMAP email account to a new device

If you don’t already have the settings for your email account you can find them here: https://estreet.com/email-lookup/

Once you have your POP/IMAP account settings you can select your email application from the list below to find the appropriate instructions.

Microsoft Outlook
-Click on the “File” tab in Outlook

-Click on the “Account Settings” icon and select “Manage Profiles

-Click on “Email Accounts

-Click “New

-Select “Manual setup or additional server types” and click “Next”

-Select “POP or IMAP” as the account type and click “Next”

-Enter the following settings. You can find your settings here: https://estreet.com/email-lookup/

Your Name: your full name
Email Address: your full email addres

Account Type: POP3 or IMAP
Incoming Mail server: your incoming server name
Outgoing Mail server: your outgoing server name

User Name: your full email address
Password: your email password

-Once that information has been entered, click on “More Settings

-On the “Outgoing Server” tab check the box for “My outgoing server requires authentication

-On the “Advanced” tab check the box to enable SSL for incoming mail. The incoming port number should update automatically (993 for an IMAP account, 995 for a POP account).

-Set the outgoing port number to 465. Then set the “Use the following type of encryption” to “SSL/TLS“.

-Click OK, Next, then Finish to save the account.

Outlook for Mac
-In Outlook for Mac, click on the “Tools” menu at the top of the page and select “Accounts

-Click the + sign in the lower-left corner and select “New account“.

-Enter your email address and click “Continue

-Select “IMAP/POP” as the account type

-Now enter the following settings. You can find your account settings here: https://estreet.com/email-lookup/

Type: IMAP or POP
Email address: your full email address
Username: your full email address
Password: your email password
Incoming server: your incoming server name
Outgoing server: your outgoing server name

-Make sure both boxes for “Use SSL to connect” are checked. Do not change the port numbers, the default ports should be used.

-Click “Add Account” to complete the setup.
Apple Mail
-Open the Mail app and click on the “Mail” menu in the upper-right of your computer screen. Select “Settings” (or “Preferences” in older versions of Mail).

-Click the + sign in the lower-left corner

-Choose “Other mail account” and click “Continue”

-Enter your email address and password then click “Sign in”

-Select “POP” or “IMAP” as the account type.

-Enter your incoming and outgoing server names. You can find that information here:

-Make sure the “User Name” field has your full email address entered. If it says “Automatic” you will need to change that to your full email address.

-Click “Sign in” to complete the setup.
iOS devices (iPhone and iPad)
-Tap on the “Settings” icon

-Go to the “Mail” section

-Tap “Add Account” and select “Other

-Select “Add Mail Account

-In the “Name” field, type your name. In the “Address” field, type your full email address.

-Enter your email password and then tap “Next”

-Here you have the option of “IMAP” or “POP” mail protocols. Either will work but we recommend you select “IMAP” and then enter the following settings. You can find your settings here:

Host Name: your incoming server name  
Username: your full email address 
Password: your email password

-Now enter the following in the “Outgoing Mail Server” section:

Host Name: your outgoing server name
Username: your full email address 
Password: your email password 


9. Tap “Next“. You may see a window indicating a certificate error. If you see that error, tap “Yes” to continue without SSL. Continue until the account is created and saved.

Outlook for Android
-In the Outlook app, tap on the icon in the top upper-left corner of the app window.

-Now tap the gear icon in the lower-left corner

-Now tap “Add Mail Account” and select “Add email account

-Enter your full email address and tap “Continue

-Select “IMAP” as the account type

-Tap the “Advanced Settings” button to toggle it into the on position

-Enter the following settings. You can find the correct settings here:

Display Name: your full name
Description: your full email address

IMAP Host Name: your incoming server name
Port: 993
Security Type: SSL/TLS
IMAP Username: your full email address
IMAP Password: your email password

SMTP Host Name: your outgoing server name
Port: 465
Security Type: SSL/TLS
SMTP Username: your full email address
SMTP Password: your email password 

-Once all of the settings have been entered, click the checkmark icon in the upper-right to save the account.
Thunderbird
-Click on the menu in the upper-right (typically represented by three horizontal lines) and open “Account Settings” from that menu.

-Click on “Account actions” in the left pane and select “Add mail account

-Enter your full name, email address, and password

-Click “Configure Manually

-Now enter the following settings. You can find your settings here:

INCOMING SERVER
Protocol: IMAP
Hostname: your incoming server name
Port: 993
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Encrypted password
Username: your full email address

OUTGOING SERVER
Hostname: your outgoing server name
Port: 465
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Encrypted password
Username: your full email address


-Click DONE to save your account.
