Is there a size limit on email attachments?

Yes, the maximum message size for a single email is 20 MB on most of our mail servers.

(Please note that the size of the file is increased when attached to an email so realistically you may not be able to send any attachments larger than 15MB).

Generally speaking, email is not the best way to share large files.  Many email systems won’t reliably handle mail larger that a few MB.

If you need to send large files the best way is to upload them somewhere (such an FTP site or a free file drop site and the send the URL to the file instead (so the recipient can download it).

If you have your own website hosted with E Street then you can upload large files and send the URL to the file.  See this article for more information:

If you do not have your own website there are several Free and paid “drop folder services available where you can “drop” large files for easy access. for instance: https://www.drop.io
